Hamilton Kangaroos recorded its third win of the Hampden Netball League open grade season on Saturday.
Taking on the bottom-placed Terang-Mortlake, the visiting Roos started well to lead by seven goals at the first break.
Mini fight backs were offered by the Bloods throughout the game, but Hamilton held on to win comfortably by 15 goals.
Johannah Parker was named the best player for the Roos, while Aleisha McDonald fired again in goals.
Portland's tough run continued against top team Cobden, going down by 62.
The Tigers scored just two goals in the opening term.
Lauren Hockley battled on gamely to be Portland's best.
Port Fairy and South Warrnambool drew on 45 apiece in their match... while in the other games while Nth Warrnambool and Koroit won the other matches.
After a break in the first week of the Hampden Football League junior finals series, Hamilton Kangaroos are one win away from playing in the 2018 grand final.
This Sunday the Roos play in the first semi-final against North Warrnambool.
The Eagles accounted for South Warrnambool last week at Hamilton and are riding a wave of confidence going in to this weekend's match.
Coach Bernie Porter says it's been business as usual in the break and the focus moves to Sunday.
