With one month of Summer remaining, people may be keen to get in as many beach days as possible but south-west locals are being warned it is important to remain safe around water and know our limits.

South-west beach-goers must remain cautious and consider conditions, read safety signs to understand dangers, swim between the red and yellow flags wherever possible, postpone alcohol until after your aquatic activity, always wear a lifejacket when boating or rock fishing and ensure you have the appropriate skills for your activity before going out on the water.
