The introduction of a green waste service has been delayed for Glenelg Shire residents for a further twelve months.

Glenelg Shire Mayor Anita Rank said the postponement was an attempt to reduce the financial burden on households during the current economic uncertainty.

The Southern Grampians Shire have closed Penshurst and Coleraine Council operated caravan parks.

Permanent residents and those placed in caravan parks by DHHS as emergency housing will not be impacted by these closures.

Inspections will occur after this date to ensure that campsites, caravan parks and camping grounds are compliant. Inspections will be carried out by DELWP and Parks Victoria staff and Local Government authorised officers over the coming weeks.

Also the Southern Grampians Shire Council have close the waste stations.

Southern Grampians Shire Mayor, Chris Sharples says other arrangements can be organised if necessary.
