Meanwhile, key tourist routes to Portland and Cape Bridgewater will be upgraded over the coming weeks as part of Glenelg Shire Council’s latest local road improvement projects.

Sections of Heath Road, Knights and Parkers Road and Bridgewater Lakes Road will undergo construction and improvement works; resulting in minor traffic delays for motorists and cyclists.

Glenelg Shire acting director of assets Chris Saunders says the works would complete the year-long project, through funding from the Victorian Government.

Works on Bridgewater Lakes Road will commence shortly and are expected to be completed by the end of May 2020. They anticipate the overall project will be finalised by the start of June 2020.
