Remanded in custody
A Portland man has been remanded at the Warrnambool police cells, accused of driving into a woman with a vehicle and then stabbing her foot.
The incident happened about 5pm on Friday at Portland, involving the man and a woman in Portland.
The accused’s charges included breaching a court imposed order, recklessly using a vehicle to place another person in serious danger, recklessly causing injury, unlawful assault, two counts of unlawful assault with a weapon, and committing offences while bailed.
The 38-year-old man was arrested, interviewed, charged and remanded in custody, set to appear before the court.
A verbal argument between the man and woman led to the man stabbing her left foot with a knife.
