PDH conditions

Portland District Health has closed all of its facilities to Visitors, Contractors and Reps

The PDH encourage people to use their phones to call, facetime or text message patients as a form of communication with your loved ones.

Special Exceptions to visiting rights:

  • Partner / nominated support person can visit the Midwifery Department
  • Palliative care – a maximum of 2 nominated visitors (please call the Nurse Unit Manager in South Ward to confirm the nominated visitors on 5521 0344)

All consumers requiring services that are still available can only enter the health service via the Main Entrance (off Fern Street) at which point you will be taken through a health screen check prior to proceeding to clinical areas.

PLEASE DO NOT attempt to enter our health service if you have a cough, sore throat or fever.

Community Transport Program

Community Transport will only be available for patients receiving essential clinical treatments (i.e. radiotherapy)

All group sessions have been cancelled.

The PDH understand this may cause concern for some members of our community, however, social distancing measures are seen as the best defense in delaying the spread of the virus.

PDH are collaborating with other key partners to develop a ‘Helping Hands’ program to assist people who are vulnerable and require additional support during this time. They will advise once the program is up and running.

PDH would like to thank the community for your ongoing support. If you have any queries or concerns, please contact Portland District Health on 03 5521 0333.

THANK YOU for assisting PDH to limit the spread of COVID-19, we understand this is a difficult time for everyone.
