Man wields knife at police and staff
At 7:40pm on Friday night [19.02] a man in his 30s was causing problems at the Grand Central hotel.

At 7:40pm on Friday night [19.02] a man in his 30s was causing problems at the Grand Central hotel.
Sergeant Mark Phillips of Hamilton police said,
"At 7:40pm on Friday night a man in his 30s was causing problems at the Grand Central hotel. He was arguing with staff and patrons at the hotel. Police were called and the man had armed himself with a steak knife. He was spoken to by police out on the street where he's threatened police and staff with the steak knife, police activated a taser on the male and also capsicum foamed him. The foam was effective on the male and he was taken into custody, where he's in remand in custody to appear at the Warrnambool Magistrates Court today, Monday the 22nd."
