Glenelg Survey Opens
Book lovers, students and user groups are being asked to have their say on their local library, as part of a long-term strategy to enhance the offerings of the service. The Glenelg Libraries is currently developing the Strategic Plan for 2021-2025, which will define a vision and the key goals the library service will work towards over the next four to five years.
As part of the development of the Plan, the Glenelg Libraries are seeking feedback on the service, including what is working well, what could be improved and additional ways to enhance access.
“Public libraries are one of the most highly valued services delivered by Council, utilised by a large cross section of our community. It is essential that the Glenelg Libraries continually strive to maximise the reach, quality and impact of its services,” explained Library and Information Services Manager Tanya Flockhart.
“To help us identify whether our branches reflect the many different ways in which people want to use them, we are asking community members to fill out a short survey.
“We want to hear from both library users and non-users - this will help us identify ways to support greater sections of the community, as well as ensuring we continue to meet the needs of our many active members over the next four to five years.
“We thank community members in advance for their valuable feedback – your comments will help to shape the future of library services in the Glenelg Shire.”
To complete the survey, visit the YourSay Glenelg website. Alternatively, hard copies are available at all Customer Services Centres and Glenelg Libraries branches.
Survey closes 5pm, Friday 25 June 2021.
