Artists needed

For Moyne Shire Council

Gunditjmara artists from the South West Region are invited to submit their interes in a two dimensional artwork embodying the ‘Generational Journey’ for the Shire.

Moyne Shire Council Mayor, Cr Daniel Meade, said, "the artists will need to create an original piece that reflects the storyline of cultural practices and changes throughout the generations."

“This is a great opportunity for artists within our local indigenous community to share their journeys and educate our wider community,” Cr Meade said.

“The completed commissioned works will be a permanent fixture in the future Moyne Shire Virtual Art Gallery and on public display in the Moyne Shire Offices.

“We invite expressions of interest from both emerging and established artists living within the Maar Nation (Gunditjmara) (South West Region).”
