Warrnambool midfielder Jye Turland has been crowned the 2019 Hampden League Senior Football Maskell Medallist for the 2019 season.

In a close count Jye polled 24 votes to claim the medal ahead of North Warrnambool's Sam McLaughlan on 20 votes.

Jye, who is a 2013 premiership player with the blues, has dominated across the midfield in the 2019 season.

The Warrnambool football club is a second home for Jye with his brothers Jed, Beau, and Noah all lining up for the blues as well as a number of his cousins and other family members.

A humbled Jye said he was lost for words with the win but paid tribute to the Warrnambool Football Club and the players he's played with this season.

The A Reserve was won by Koroit's Bradley Bell on 21 votes from North Warrnambool's Lewis Holland on 19 votes.

The Under 18.5s was won Koroit's Isaac Sinnott on 22 votes from Camperdown's Toby Kent on 18 votes.
